Best Camera Bag Review

My Three Favorite Camera Bags

Today I want to talk about best camera bags for DSLR’s, so your baby doesn’t get any scratches. In my opinion, there is nothing like the best bag for every situation, but there are some better bags and some worse. I for example used to buy the cheapest bags that had the most features. Sound smart doesn’t it😊 but later I found out that they were cheaper for a reason and didn’t last very long. So, my first Tipp for you, if you want to buy a camera bag would be, buy one that has a good factoring quality and costs a little more instead of five cheap ones that have hundreds of features and will break very soon. 😊

What type do you need?

There are different types of bags to make it short:

  1. There are big backpacks for your camera and lots of equipment.
  2. There are big sling bags that are smaller but still can fit a lot inside. (My favorites).
  3. And small sling bags that are very handy and easy to carry around.

  • Price/performance: 249$ 8/10
  • Very high factoring quality 9/10
  • Comfort: Adjustable side compression straps 9/10
  • Cheapest place to buy: Amazon

The Mindshift Backpack is one of the best camera backpacks. It is not really cheap and I would say you should only have it if you need a lot of gear very often (like me). I like it because of its factoring quality and all the features it has. You can carry 26l divided into lots of small pockets so everything sits tight with you and even put more on the outside a tripod or water bottle. It fits very good to your body since it is adjustable in almost every way. The Ergonomic zipper pulls are easily gripped with gloves or frozen fingers. The waterproof insulation prevents your camera and lens from water and condensing. It keeps the camera and your equipment really in place like other backpacks like that don’t.

Front position, everything accessible.

Plus points:

  1. Insulated
  2. Space: 26L
  3. Fully adjustable
  4. Waterproof
  5. Very good build quality

Minus points:

  1. Not cheap
  2. It is pretty big in some situations

Bottom line

If you want to buy a backpack for your camera and equipment this is one of the best, even though it cost 250$, because of its different ways to use and the diversity of its pockets plus you only buy it ones and you will have it for a long time. However, if you do not really need such a big bag go with something cheaper and smaller.

  • best camera sling bagPrice/Performance: 39.99$ 9/10
  • 90-Day 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
  • 30 Days Amazon Send Back Guarantee
  • Good factoring quality 8/10
  • Very handy 9/10
  • Cheapest place to buy: Amazon

In my opinion the altura photo camera sling backpack for DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras is the best camera sling bag. It’s Very handy because you can fit a lot of equipment inside (or on the outside like a tripod), but it is still not as big as a real backpack so you can take it easy on a plane for example. You can wear it like a real backpack for long walks but the smart sling bag design makes it easy to rotate it around to the front of your body giving you quickly full access to all parts of your bag or use it as a normal camera bag in front of you when you want to take pictures. The factoring quality is also pretty good, but it can’t keep up with the Mindshift one.

Plus points:

  1. Very handy
  2. Not very expensive
  3. It has a lot of space

Minus Points:

  1. Not waterproof

Bottom line:

If you want to buy a very handy and convertible camera bag that can fit a lot of equipment in it. You should go for the Altura Photo Camera Sling Backpack and its good factoring quality.

Think Tank Photo Digital Holster

  • Price/performance: 69.75$ 7/10
  • 30 Days Amazon Send Back Guarantee
  • Factoring quality: 9/10
  • Handy: 7/10
  • Cheapest place to buy: Amazon

The small camera bag from Think Tank comes in handy if you just want to take your camera with you just in case. There is no place for way more than your camera and your must-have gadgets but it also doesn’t take more space than just your camera. You can use it as a sling bag or just mount it to your belt if you want to take your telephoto lens with you can the digital photo holster is expandable.

Plus point:

  1. Very small/Handy
  2. Very good factoring quality

Minus points:

  1. Not a lot of space
  2. Not 100% waterproof

Bottom line:

If you want a small practical and convertible camera bag this one is really my favorite it is made from very thick and durable material so even if you drop it, it is going to protect your camera.

I hope that this little post was able to help you to decide what you need and want. If you have any questions or opinions let me know in the comments and I will get back to you in no time 😊

    Hello Sir

Nice article on camera bags, you have given us three very good options for products which are high quality and will get the job done of transporting our photography equipment.

I really think the large bag is too big and too expensive for the average hobby photographer, my choice would be the middle size bag. The size seems about right and the price is a good deal, the holster I think is way too small if you have several lenses and your camera body.

Hi jeffrey, yes, the big bag is only for people who are traveling or have a lot of gear. In my opinion it is the best in its category but, I just wanted to show all different types of bags so you would have something to choose from 🙂

Hey there! I just recently bought a new camera and I’m using the free bag that comes with it. The bag is too small for me especially I’m using 3 different lenses. I found your article very informative and helpful to me. I’m looking for some in the web but I’m not sure if I’m going to buy them because I don’t know if they’re good quality and worth it. After I read your article you gave pretty good camera bags that got my attention. I think that the MindShift BackLight 26L Backpack for DSLR Camera is the perfect bag for me. Thank you for sharing this information.
