Hey everybody! Today I got my hands on a Canon 760D, also known as Canon Eos rebel t6s and compared it to the cheaper Canon Eos rebel t6 with stunning results.
But first I want to tell you why I think the Canon Eos rebel t6s review should be on my site.
Since there are a lot of cameras in that price category.
The simple reason is that I try to only have cameras with the best money function ratio here and this one really has a nice ration 🙂
When I got the Canon Eos rebel t6s, I thought:
Well, another DSLR that costs a bit more but does pretty much the same as the Canon Eos rebel t6.
The little s at the back does quite make a difference and closes the gap between an amateur camera and a professional one.
So, let’s start my Canon Eos rebel t6s review.
- Price: 699$
- Best place to buy: Amazon.com
- Price performance: Very Good 9/10
- Quality: 10/10
The body of the rebel t6s has more metal on it than the t6 and a little screen on the right top for quick information, which the t6i haven’t got.
The overall quality is like always canon – just awesome.
Canon Eos rebel t6s has 24.2 Megapixel (APS-C) CMOS sensor, which is more than the Eos 5D Mark III.
It also enables you to do large format photo prints with that resolution.
The Iso goes up to 12800 (if you extend it 25600) and is way less noisy than its competitor t6, which makes it one of the best DSLRs for low light in that price Category.
With 19 AF points, it has 10 more than the rebel t6.
It is quick and precise in photo mode.
In video mode, the focusing speed can’t compare with the 77D but it is absolutely alright.
It has an autofocus function while filming (which the rebel t6 doesn’t have). The face tracking is for some reason not so good in video mode, but still way better than the Nikon competition.
The fast DIGIC 6 processor makes you able shoot up to 5 fps for 7 pictures, after that it goes 3 fps in photo mode so you take action or sports pictures.
Besides that, of course, it shoots in RAW as well as JPEG like every DSLR.
1080p full HD video mode
In the video mode, you can film in 1080p full HD with 30fps or 720p with 60fps, which is enough to get started with filming.
You have two microphones to record in stereo and a microphone jack to mount an external microphone.
With the built-in Wi-Fi devise you are going to be able to send your pictures instantly to your smartphone, laptop, Wi-Fi hard drive, stock site or web service and printer.
So, if you want to have the best Instagram photos here you go with an easy and fast solution.
(love it this) 😃 Besides that, you are able to control your camera from your tablet, pc or smartphone.
To be honest, I personally don’t use the control feature, because I have a remote shutter release, but maybe you don’t so now you don’t have to buy one anymore.
The 3.0-inch Touchscreen
Is awesome you can turn it in every position you want, which is perfect for filming or shooting in difficult situations.
For everybody who never had a DSLR before the touch display really makes the understanding and handling faster and easier.
Besides that, the screen is coated with a smudge-resistant coating to maintain a reflection and fingerprint free screen.

I think we all agree that this camera body is a pretty good purchase.
It really has a lot of features and even more.
there is one thing that I wish they would have included.
- Weather sealing all high-end canons come weather sealed.
Which means you can basically through them in a see and they still work like they did on day one.
(trust me I have tried it… by accident) 😀
I know it sounds like complaining at a very high level but, I live in Germany and rain is here as present as the sun in the Sahara.
almost 24/7… so my problem with a not weather sealed camera is.
That every time it starts raining (which is A LOT in Germany) I have to fear that my 699$ camera together with my also not weather sealed lens is getting fucked by the rain.
I know it sounds stupid but I know for a fact that, amateur photographers also walk through the rain from time to time.
They usually have less spare money than pros for their gear. so WHYYYY???
But that’s really the only huge downside I was able to find.
The Canon Eos rebel T6s costs about 170$ more than the rebel t6 but it also comes with a lot of features that the t6 can’t keep up with.
My first camera was the rebel t6, but if the t6s would have existed, I probably would have bought it.
If you know that you love photography, I think the 170$ more are well spent.
But if you don’t know yet about your passion, I would go with the rebel t6.
I hope you could decide between those two cameras.
So that’s already it with my Canon EOS Rebel T6s Review. If you have any questions or opinions feel free to ask me in the comment. I will get back to you as fast as I can.😊
