Complementary Colors Explained

Complementary Colors Explained

landscape photography tips

I took this beautiful Picture in Austria on the lake Langbath. The only thing in this that is applied is not the rule of thirds 😛 but complementary colors. what I mean with that is the picture is mainly good looking because of a nice scenery and the contrast between blue and green.

  • Camera: Canon 77D
  • Lens: 18-55mm
  • Shutter: 1/2000
  • Aperture: f/7.1
  • Iso: 100

    complementary colors explained

All you need to know is that as long you combine these so-called complementary colors with each other you will make your picture more interesting. you can even use more than 2 but don’t use too many at the same time. in this case usually, less is more.

That’s already it I hope you were able to see what I was trying to explain and to put it into your next project. If you have any opinions or questions let me know in the comments.

Cheers Aaron.
